A Corner Record is a legal document filed with the County by a licensed land surveyor to document property corners set/replaced. It is filed in lieu of a Record of Survey Map when the survey is a retracement of parcel lines shown on a Subdivision Map, Parcel map, or Record of Survey Map. Sufficient survey monumentation must be found from those maps that enables the surveyor to establish a missing boundary corner. It should noted that if monuments are found in a different location than the recorded map we are retracing, a Record of Survey map is typically required. The scope of this service is very similar to a typical Boundary Survey, however, survey monuments (typically rebar or iron pipe with Land Surveyor tag/cap) are set at corner locations and Corner Record form is submitted to the County to go on file.
